pause (III)

when on the moss-green hill the wandering wind
drowses, and lays his brazen trumpet down,
when snow-fed waters gurgle, cold and brown,
and wintered birds creep from the stacks to find
solace, while each bright eye begins to see
a visionary nest in every tree —
let us away, out of the murky day
of sullen towns, into the silver noise
of woods where every bud has found her way
sunward, and every leaf has found a voice.

in the midst of this work storm i'm currently living in,
a little green pause, of sunnier and outdoorsy days

have a wonderful day

unleashing scent of wild jasmine

“i seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times,
in life after life, in age after age forever.”
― rabindranath tagore

october, 2014.

if there's anything i miss from my childhood home
is seeing the patio's floor covered in little white blossoms,
being drunk with the sweet scent of jasmine
on rainy, hot summer nights.

the first thing i'll do whenever we move to a home with a patio or yard
will be to run to the greenhouse and get me some jasmines.

(i'm still here, i'm still busy. soon i will have some free time, i hope)

hope you have a wonderful day

a sepal, petal, and a thorn

october, 2014.

a sepal, petal, and a thorn
upon a common summer's morn
a flask of dew — a bee or two
a breeze — a caper in the trees
and i'm a rose!

― emily dickinson

the spirit of the earth

love me―and i will give into your hands
the rare, enamelled jewels of my lands,
flowers red and blue,
tender with air and dew.

from far green armouries of pools and meres
i'll reach for you my lucent sheaves of spears―
the singing falls, where the lone ousel calls.

when, like a passing light upon the sea,
your wood-bird soul shall clap her wings and flee,
she shall but nest
more closely in my breast.

happiness

“live to the point of tears.”
― albert camus

(beautiful video by the lovely ro ville)

october, 2014.
a few weeks ago, both vix and roville came to buenos aires
and i had the wonderful, wonderful chance to meet up with them

we talked for hours at a coffee shop
and then went for a walk to the botanical garden.
we stopped and gaze with joy at the pretty flowers,
screamed like teenage fangirls when we discovered there was free wi-fi,
took too many photos of our feet, frolicked about, stalked a few kitties,
screamed again, quite loudly, when we found a tangerine tree
and laughed and laughed until we cried.

days like these stay with you forever ♥

for a few more photos, you can check roville's post

lilies in the valleys

'gather me lilies in the darkling valleys,
gather me lilies in the valleys of delight!'
'how can i gather lilies with no cloak to cover me,
and no shoes for stony ways, and it the dark night?'
'i will give you shoes of silver and a cloak for rainy weather,
i will set you in a love that laughs and a love that grieves;
i'll hold you and i'll fold you and we'll travel down together
where the lilies shine like seed-pearls in the wet, dark leaves.
and we'll gather the brittle lilies in the valley of delight,
and up from mossy mountains shall spring the lilied morning
like our love from the valley - from the valley of the night'

the last day

villa la angostura, neuquén . day five

on the last day we slept in,
sipped coffee and read books.
we went to town to buy chocolates,
i picked wild flowers by the side of the road
and made a little bouquet to brighten our table.

later we went to the pool,
wandered around the cottage
and waved the mountains goodbye
