just a minute in april

april was a slower, calmer month than march
and i finally had a bit of much needed free time.
i met up with old friends, visited lovely gardens,
and started working on little handmade presents again.

the trees are changing colour and the city seems to be tinted with gold.
everywhere you look there are leaves falling,
dancing in the air with such delicacy,
it warms my heart and makes me wish for a never ending autumn.
reading jude the obscure, thomas hardy
listening to lucy patané & marina fages
watching nymphlight
working on a few new projects
cooking cinnamon cakes and warm soups
taking sun-naps with pixel

have a wonderful day!

film friday: 100 days after childhood

"a time will come, usually it happens quite unexpectedly, when you will see the river, the trees, and the girl, and the way that she is smiling. and even thou you have seen it a thousands time before, you'll be dumbstruck with a sudden realization: 'how unimaginably beautiful is that girl, and those trees, and that river, and the way that she is smiling.'

"that usually means that love has caught up with you."

sto dney posle detstva, 1975.
in my top five movies there are always about twenty
and 100 days after childhood is definitely one of them.

a simple story of unrequited first loves
so beautifully told.

maybe it's because i'm quite nostalgic
but just hearing the music makes me cry.

autumn garden (II)

“a garden to walk in and immensity to dream in--what more could he ask?
a few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”
― victor hugo

april, 2014.
on a rainy autumn day,
i went to gram's for lunch.

after lunch we put on our scarves
and visited my favourite garden ever.
we gazed at the flowers, spotted a few tiny kittens
and frolicked about, taking pictures & talking endlessly.
when it started raining we headed to the cinema
and watched a lovely film called el sur

a calm, perfect autumn day

film friday: oh boy

"do you know what it's like... to have the feeling that all the people around you are honestly kind of weird? but when you think it over, then it becomes clear that the problem is with yourself. "
oh boy, 2012.
how often do i look around and think:
most people these days are just so weird.
and then stop and say "maybe it's me that's odd and not them".
but then again, i think that we all probably feel like this
at one point or another.
don't we?
