just a minute in december

summer started long before the summer solstice
and we've been having the longest and hottest heatwave in years since.
if only autumn would start early on, too. but it probably won't.

reading the mayor of castebridge, thomas hardy
listening to valerie a týden divů beautiful soundtrack
wanting to learn stonian so i can watch this movie
drinking lots of herbal iced tea with cardamom
making plans for the new year
hoping you all have a wonderful start of the year, filled with laughter and flowers

about a week and some days ago,
vix went to the cinema to watch kon-tiki
she liked it so much that she added it to the film friday list

and i'm glad she did.

it was just so beautiful that, for a moment,

i was sure i would end up with over 100 stills : )

dear friends,
the new year is almost here,
and just like last year, i did a simple wall calendar
ready to be printed & hanged.

i also did desktop wallpapers to go with it,
as a thank you for all your lovely comments and support,
which i will share with you every month


i wish for the new year to be filled with flowers and mountains
but if it's not, at least i'll see them everyday on my walls & desktop.
i hope you enjoy them as much as i will.

film friday: le skylab

le skylab, 2011.

i truly wanted to like the skylab.
after all, it's set in bretagne in the late 70s
but i found the characters to be unsympathetic
and i just couldn't.

it did, however, bring back memories of days long past

summers picking berries and catching fireflies,

of adventures and games, family and friends.
