a day in may (II)

and i am not alone while my love is near me

i know it will be so until it's time to go 

so come the storms of winter and then the birds in spring again

i have no fear of time

today i'll meet up with my mom for breakfast
and later m. & i will go for autumn stroll to the botanical garden,
i'll take a nap, read a book, play with pixel, put on a pretty dress 
and go out to dinner with family and friends.

i will be a year older, once again
time passes by so fast

april, 2013.
few times i had been so excited to do my homework
as i am with cooking classes.


i was determined to use my great grandmother's pasta machine
unfortunately, and after several attempts at cleaning it,
sitting on a shelve for many years took it's toll and it was too dirty
and i ended rolling it out by hand.
i'd like to think that that would've made her even more proud.

away & back

dear friends,

i've been selfishly away:
working on personal projects,
embroidering my heart out every day,
attending workshops and cooking classes.
free time doesn't come often, so i had to make the most of it
and suddenly free time was not free at all.


i hadn't had the chance to work on little handmade presents
and because of that i haven't mailed the letters yet
and so they sit in my desk half finished, longing to be sent
which they'll be, hopefully next week!

ps2. i opened a little shop

just a minute in march

autumn has been officially here for over a week
but it was only a couple of days ago,
coming home one afternoon, that i suddenly noticed it

the days are shorter, the leaves are changing colour and i'm happy
march was a slow, quiet month. a month of embroidering and tea,
of naps with pixel and dinners with friends, of lazy mornings and walks in the rain

watching twin peaks
listening to beirut & sin fang almost every day ♥
working on little projects
taking photos again. i took almost no pictures on february and march
going away for a few days :)

but i'm so happy with this little one that i decided to share it

it's the first final sketch of a project that started many years ago
and it's now finally starting to take shape

january, 2013.

january's saturday mornings were spent in a midst of fabrics and threads
nini and i attended a workshop together* and sew our own plushies
i did a little bunny girl, nini a lovely kitty. she named hers rudi, i named mine cordelia,
and even if we live in two different parts of the world, in that moment we felt so close.


cordelia has a needle felted pompon tail,
she likes to wear pretty dresses with slips
and loves her little teddy bear very, very much.

just a minute in february

i only shot three rolls of film this summer, which are still at the lab
it was a weird summer. but february is almost over and with it most of my work.

the weather is changing, the wind blows & the days grow shorter

i'm happy, autumn has always been my favourite season.

the last day

villa la angostura, neuquén . day five

on the last day we slept in,
sipped coffee and read books.
we went to town to buy chocolates,
i picked wild flowers by the side of the road
and made a little bouquet to brighten our table.

later we went to the pool,
wandered around the cottage
and waved the mountains goodbye

osorno

osorno, chile . day four

on the day of m.'s birthday
we woke up to find snow on the top of the hills

we took a bus & crossed the border
and spend the day in osorno, chile

i loved the change in scenery from argentina to chile
the valdivian temperate rainforest is something that amazes me to no end
but the best thing was to find the road covered with white, perfect snow.

(i forgot to pack my films, so i could only snap a few pictures. silly, silly me)
